Executive Board Roles & Responsibilities:
All terms are for one year. Vacancies after elections will be filled through appointment by the President.
President:
• Preside over regular and special association meetings.
• Assist with selecting and scheduling planned activities for the upcoming school year.
• Assist the Treasurer with purchasing supplies, writing checks, or other financial responsibilities when needed.
• Assist members of the board as needed.
• Form special committees as needed.
• Fill, by appointment, the unexpired term of a vacant officer.
• Finalize the agenda for monthly meetings.
Vice President:
• Serve as the volunteer coordinator by assessing the needs of the association for the year’s projects, surveying the membership for volunteers, and assigning projects to volunteers.
• Assume the office of the President upon vacancy of the office.
• Perform duties of the President in absence of the President.
• Attend all regular and special association meetings.
• Work with the President on the activities conducted by the association.
Treasurer:
• Present the proposed budget to the association during the September meeting for approval.
• Receive all monies of the association and keep an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures.
• Pay out the association treasury funds authorized by the association.
• Attend all regular and special meetings of the association to distribute copies and present the monthly financial report.
• Write checks as needed.
• Distribute copies and present the annual financial report during the May meeting.
Secretary:
• Be the recording officer of the association and attend all regular and special association meetings.
• Preserve all reports of the regular meetings.
• Distribute copies of the minutes to Longcoy families and, upon request, to other interested parties.
• Keep records of all correspondence to and from the association.
• Collect and distribute all mail to LSA.
